Painting is NOT something you should do for two years and then stop for 35 years. But with luck, you get a second chance, as I have to pursue this part of my soul. In the interim of my time away from painting, my passions were my career as a pediatric physical therapist as well as love of travels, birding, photography, hiking, etc. Luckily, what I learned and experienced from these experiences, I now bring with me as I have resumed painting. I am influenced by artists through out history, particularly the Impressionists and post-Impressionist Colourists and now I happily learn from constant exposure to talent in our small community and in the region. I am inspired by what I see and experience—landscapes and the figure-- shapes, colors, and design and enjoy the challenges to create meaningful images. This journey brings me great joy and wonderful growth opportunities. It gives me great pleasure when others enjoy my work.

I embrace the statement attributed to Grandma Moses “Life is what we make of it, always has been, always will be.”
